Deep Core Strength

I talk a lot about natural breathing and deep core strength and how essential it is to our core health 💯

1️⃣Have you ever sucked in your stomach to look thinner? 🙋🏼‍♀️

2️⃣Have you ever squeezed into a tight pair of skinny jeans? 🙋🏼‍♀️

3️⃣ Have you ever worn a compression belt to “heal” your core? 🙋🏼‍♀️

When you put too much pressure on your abdominal wall it will have a negative effect and it will compress your natural breathing.

We want to teach our bodies how to heal from the inside out! 👏🏻👏🏻

Unnatural breathing and too much intra-abdominal pressure can negatively effect our core health, pelvic floor function, digestion and our anxiety 😮

And I’m not talking just about when exercising, I’m also talking about day-to-day living! ➡️ A lot of us tend to hold our breath when we lift heavy things like car seats, toddlers, grocery bags…etc..

When we hold our breath and suck it in, it puts pressure on our core and down into our pelvic floor ⤵️⤵️

‼️ Too much intra-abdominal pressure can even cause hernias, prolapse and reflux!! 😬 🤯

📌 don’t be afraid to size up on those skinny jeans—size is just a number! 👏🏻

📌 learn how to perform 360 breathing

📌 always exhale on the effort

📌 imagine zipping up your abdominals as you exhale and contract your transverse abdominals

📌 think about how your core stabilizes and supports your body

📌 your body needs to learn the proper way to heal your core for long-lasting results 🙌🏻

Side note: I am ALL about high waisted leggings 😉 it’s the only kind of leggings I will wear. But when I talk about compression 👉🏼 I’m talking about squeezing into pants that are WAY too small on you to the point where you can’t breathe.

It’s essential to learn how to re-build and maintain core strength through proper exercises and breathing ✌🏼
